Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for a large employee population, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated accurately and delivered on schedule.
- Administer multi-state payroll activities while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Review and manage garnishments, levies, and other court-ordered deductions, ensuring proper setup, tracking, and remittance.
- Maintain and update payroll records in ADP Workforce Now, verifying employee data changes and payroll inputs for completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues related to earnings, tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions in a timely manner.
- Partner with human resources, finance, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate payroll changes and support smooth payroll operations.
- Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation to assist with audits, reconciliations, and management review.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience processing payroll in a business environment with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience handling full-cycle payroll from data entry and validation through final processing and review.
- Background managing payroll for more than 500 employees with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, including tax and compliance considerations.
- Experience administering garnishments and other involuntary deductions in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and general payroll systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
