About the role
The role of Payroll Specialist involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits and compensation.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including deductions and tax calculations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Provide support to employees regarding their benefits and compensation inquiries.
- Handle employee inquiries related to payroll issues and discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports and statements as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing or similar role.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and HRIS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
