We are a well-established and growing organization in the construction industry seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tualatin. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex payroll processes, and partnering closely with employees and leadership to ensure accurate and timely payroll administration.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule for a diverse employee population
- Maintain employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Administer prevailing wage and union payroll requirements, as applicable
- Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Partner with Human Resources regarding employee changes, benefits deductions, and leave-related payroll impacts
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reporting
- Support continuous improvement efforts within payroll processes and systems
Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Construction, union, or project-based payroll experience highly preferred
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- CPP certification is a plus, but not required

Pay
Competitive salary of $80,000-$85,000
