Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end, multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now on a scheduled cycle
- Maintain payroll data integrity, including employee changes, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and tax updates
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Reconcile payroll prior to submission and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll accounting and general ledger postings
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
- Manage payroll tax filings, reporting, and year-end processes (W-2s, adjustments, audits)
- Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and compensation data
- Identify and support process improvements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws
- Experience reconciling payroll and working with Finance or Accounting teams
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
- Experience supporting audits (internal or external)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems integrated with ADP
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-state organization
Pay
$35-$42 per hour
