Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are Holistic Industries, a diverse group of professionals dedicated to various aspects of the cannabis industry. We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely pay for employees across multiple entities
• Review and audit timesheets, partnering with managers to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance
• Serve as the go-to resource for employee payroll questions, providing responsive support and issue resolution
• Maintain payroll records and employee updates, including pay changes, taxes, direct deposits, and deductions
• Partner with our payroll provider to ensure payroll taxes, reporting, and deductions are processed accurately
• Support compliance efforts, workers' compensation reporting, audits, and payroll system training for employees

Requirements

• Experience processing payroll in a multi-state environment, with a strong understanding of payroll practices and compliance requirements
• Comfortable working with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and Excel; Kronos experience is a plus
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for spotting issues before they become problems
• Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Pay

Massachusetts pay range: $30 - $32 USD
