Payroll Specialist

About the role

GCI delivers unique, high-value mission solutions by leveraging technological expertise in Data Analytics, Software Development, Engineering, Targeting and Analysis, Operations, Training, and Cyber Operations. As a Payroll Specialist, you will support multi-state payroll processing with a focus on Deltek Costpoint and UKG systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and process timesheets and labor entries
• Process payroll, including salary changes, new hires, and terminations
• Maintain payroll systems (e.g., setting up contract workforces, updating employee records)
• Conduct briefings for employees and supervisors
• Assist with payroll audits as needed
• Respond to employee questions regarding payroll

Requirements

• Deltek Costpoint experience
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Ability to multi-task and handle confidential information with discretion
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of federal and state tax laws and withholdings

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with UKG (Ultipro) system (desired)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
