The Role
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the bi-weekly payroll and is the primary point of contact for employees who need payroll assistance.
- Reviewing personnel forms for accuracy and completeness
- Collecting, reviewing, and auditing paper and electronic time and attendance records
- Responding to employee inquiries
- Processing and submitting payroll files to ADP
- Generating reports
- Processing off-cycle manual checks
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum two years of experience in payroll or other accounting role
- Experience with a major payroll platform (ADP, Paylocity, Workday, UKG) a plus
- Proficiency in general accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service both in person and via telephone or email
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately as well as exercise independent judgment and use discretion in the planning and performance of these duties
- High attention to detail with a strict adherence to recurring time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job
- Valid driver's license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation required
