Salary range: $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience
About the role
This Payroll Specialist role offers a blend of structure and operational impact. You’ll play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed with speed, precision, and compliance while partnering closely with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support North America employees and third-party administrators from hire through retirement
- Perform payroll processing functions in UKG Pro using established procedures
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance requirements are consistently met
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with statutory and corporate governance standards
- Audit payroll data and ensure accuracy and timely processing
- Identify deficiencies and recommend improvements to payroll processes and documentation
Requirements
- Degree in an accounting-related field or a combination of accounting/HR education and relevant experience
- 3–4 years of payroll experience, ideally supporting multi-state and/or union environments within North America
- Experience with computerized payroll systems (UKG Pro strongly preferred)
- High proficiency in Excel and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
