Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly and biweekly cycles across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Maintain payroll systems and employee records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
- Prepare and file payroll tax returns; reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with HR and Finance to support audits, reporting, and budgeting activities.
- Lead process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff (if applicable).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including management or lead-level responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and multi-state regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paychex.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
