About the role
Payroll Specialists are responsible for managing employee payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to HR departments.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding their pay and benefits
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management
- Manage employee tax withholdings and deductions
- Update payroll records and maintain accurate employee files
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
