Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees on a timely and accurate basis, including the calculation of hours, overtime, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related queries or discrepancies from employees in a professional manner.
- Prepare and submit detailed payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Aid in the administration of employee benefits as they relate to payroll.
- Support end-of-year reporting and the preparation of tax documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll-focused role.
- A strong understanding of US payroll principles, laws, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with strong skills in Excel.
- Exceptional numerical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is highly desirable.
