Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring no missed punches prior to processing payroll and following up with the supervisors as needed
- Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, and post information
- Review WFM hours for accuracy in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Process the hourly payroll timely on a weekly basis
- Record employee information, such as exceptions, direct deport, pay adjustments, transfers, and resignations, in order to maintain and update payroll records
- Compute wages and deductions based on applicable state and federal wage order guidelines
- Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
- Keep informed about changes in payroll tax and deduction laws that apply to payroll process
- Partner with Human Resources on any payroll related changes
- Provide information to employees, management on payroll issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
- Experience with time and attendance software
Skills
- Knowledge of payroll tax and deduction laws
- Experience with payroll processing software
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
