Responsibilities
- Process biweekly payroll for approximately 90 employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage multi-state payroll administration and compliance requirements
- Administer certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance
- Support employee benefit enrollments and payroll deductions
- Cook new hire payroll setup and onboarding activities
- Maintain payroll records and compliance documentation
- Generate payroll reporting for Finance, Safety, HR, and leadership teams
- Aid with workers' compensation reporting and documentation
- Identify payroll inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Support future payroll and timekeeping system implementation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll administration experience
- Experience processing complex multi-state payroll
- Certified payroll experience
- Prevailing wage experience
- Strong understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws
- Ability to independently process payroll with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong payroll compliance knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems preferred
- Benefits administration experience
- Payroll system implementation experience
- Construction or project-based payroll experience
- Union payroll experience
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
- Experience improving payroll processes and implementing best practices
