Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities
- Process new hires using ADP Onboarding.
- Manage employee transactions through ADP Employee Self-service, including terminations, salary changes, direct deposit setup, address changes, and tax withholding updates.
- Understand and process wage garnishments and withholding orders.
- Handle Draw vs. Commission payroll processing.
- Audit payroll reports before submission using ADP Preview.
- Provide excellent customer service to both active and terminated employees.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now Reporting tools efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience with payroll processing in commission-based industries.
Qualifications
- Union payroll experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a drawer vs. commission-based industry, preferably in larger companies with a sales force.
Skills
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
- Experience with handling direct deposit reversals/deletions.
- Ability to prepare manual checks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now Reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience with payroll processing in commission-based industries.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72,000.00 - $77,000.00/yr.
Schedule
This position requires on-site attendance every day at our corporate headquarters in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of leaving early on Fridays. The role may require longer hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
