Payroll Specialist

About this position

The Payroll Specialist ensures the timely, accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll through the HRIS system. This position works closely with supervisors and managers, accounting, and HR team members to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employee data accuracy and payroll compliance.

Essential Job Functions/Duties

• Ensures timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll through the HRIS system
• Works closely with supervisors and managers, accounting, and HR team members to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
• Supports employee data accuracy and payroll compliance
• Contributes to day-to-day accounting functions by providing data entry, journal account reconciliations, and financial reporting support

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5+ years’ payroll processing experience in large, multi-state environment
• Associates Degree with business/accounting focus
• Demonstrated working knowledge of debits and credits
• Experience with multi-state payroll, garnishments, and automated timesheets
• Experience with payroll tax issues
• Proven ability to complete work accurately and with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Strong and proven customer service skills
• Prior working experience with HIRIS systems

• Manufacturing and/or semiconductor industry experience preferred
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Desire to learn and develop new skills preferred
• Experience with ERP systems preferred

This role has hybrid work flexibility, allowing up to 2 days per week remote work.
