About the role

Work directly with company leadership and the HR & Payroll Manager, giving you visibility and influence across the organization. Develop specialized expertise in certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting, highly sought-after skills in the construction industry. Gain exposure to multi-state payroll operations across Oregon, Washington, and California. Be part of a collaborative, tight-knit team where your contributions are recognized and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll for multi-state employees.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public works projects.
  • Audit timekeeping records, payroll data, and labor classifications.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and job cost systems.
  • Support payroll tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Assist with onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and HR support activities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
  • Experience working within an ERP or payroll system.
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
  • Certified payroll, prevailing wage, construction payroll, or multi-state payroll experience required.
