About the role
CV Resources is partnering with a well-established, growing organization in the senior living industry to identify an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for a large, multi-state workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on payroll leader who enjoys improving processes, leading a team, and ensuring accurate, compliant payroll operations in a complex, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day payroll function for approximately 2,000+ employees across multiple states.
- Oversee full-cycle, semi-monthly payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Manage and mentor the payroll team, providing leadership and operational support.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and leadership on payroll-related initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, off-cycle payrolls, garnishments, tax reporting, year-end processing, and payroll reporting.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve payroll operations as the organization continues to grow.
Requirements
- 5+ years of payroll management experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment.
- Experience leading payroll teams and managing complex payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax compliance.
- Experience with UKG is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CPP certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also driving strategic process improvements.

Pay
Competitive compensation up to $120,000 DOE.
