Payroll Data Integration Specialist (401k)

About the role

The DC Data Exchange Consultant at Fidelity works closely with Plan Sponsors and HR/PR vendors to facilitate the transition of financial and participant data for defined contribution plans. This role is part of the Implementation Team, which focuses on providing exceptional service throughout the project life cycle. The consultant will leverage their expertise in client service and implementation processes to meet client demands effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Clarify data requirements and provide appropriate specifications.
• Coordinate delivery of required systems configuration and establish systems interfaces.
• Work with clients and internal partners to establish electronic data communication requirements.
• Document payroll specifications for clients and ongoing service teams.
• Coordinate the payroll testing process and review output with clients.
• Troubleshoot and assist in resolution of exception processing around technology gaps.
• Monitor payroll conversion schedules and manage deliverable dates.
• Establish and test loan and deferral feedback files and update clients on findings.
• Manage the indicative data cleanup effort with clients or payroll vendors.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in implementation and/or 401(k) operations.
• A general understanding of the retirement market and client service.
• Strong organizational and operational skills.
• Proven problem solving and client management abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A solid understanding of Fidelity proprietary systems such as FPRS, FocusPoint, TSO, PPMC, and PSW.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
