Responsibilities
- Calculates and processes special checks
- Files unemployment forms
- Processes new hire paperwork
- Creates summary reports for management
- Utilizes automated time and attendance software
- Handles general inquiries regarding payroll
- Offers suggestions, advice, and solutions regarding payroll processing procedures
- Ensures proper resources are available for timely payment and reporting
- Schedules garnishment payments
- Coordinates and facilitates multiple payroll processing schedules
- Assists in coordinating payroll-specific financial calculations and estimates
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
- Broadens knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Possesses intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exhibits strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills
- Shows excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Develops proficiency in payroll and time and attendance systems
