Payroll Coordinator

Location: Mukilteo, WA (on-site)

Salary: $94,000–$114,400, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll and ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery
• Review and audit timesheets, payroll records, and employee pay data
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings and payments
• Reconcile payroll liabilities, benefits, and payroll-related general ledger accounts
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, benefit reconciliation issues, and other payroll-related challenges
• Prepare journal entries and payroll-related financial reporting
• Assist with payroll system conversion activities and process documentation
• Support special projects and process improvements within the finance department

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
• Prior payroll experience in a government or municipal environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of Washington State payroll regulations, taxes, deductions, and reporting requirements preferred
• Experience managing monthly and quarterly payroll tax filings and reconciliations
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex payroll issues
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with Eden software and/or CentralSquare Finance Enterprise is a plus
