Responsibilities
- Processes new hire records, W-4s, Personnel Action Forms (PAFs), and craft transfer data on an as-needed basis.
- Imports time entry batches, processes and verifies labor sheets, and communicates with jobsite personnel to identify and reduce errors prior to finalizing time in the payroll workbench.
- Runs standard system reports, including time and pay edits, to verify and ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Processes payments outside of the standard payroll schedule, including final paychecks, missed or incorrect pay, retroactive adjustments, and special one-time payments.
- Processes and corrects prevailing wage Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), including imports into eMars, LCP Tracker, and AASHTOWare, as applicable.
- Manages and oversees the Doculivery document system.
- Receives, manages, and resolves assigned maintenance tickets through the payroll ticket system.
- Reviews and processes employee expense reports utilizing Concur and AppZen platforms.
- Processes payroll reclassifications resulting from time entry adjustments and corrections.
- Processes and records ACH returns and administers weekly payroll tax payments as required.
- Prepares garnishment documentation and reconciles various garnishment accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance in reporting.
- Develops ad hoc reports to support evolving business needs and data inquiries.
Requirements
- Preferred 2-3 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience.
- Capable of high-volume output and overtime on a needed basis.
- Excellent data entry skills, telephone communication, and organizational skills required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be detail-oriented and have decision-making capabilities and leadership qualities.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Intermediate Excel skills due to using pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups, and conditional formatting.
- Preferred experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Oracle HCM.
- Preferred experience with LCP Tracker, eMars, AASHTOWare, or similar CPR software.
Physical Requirements
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects on a frequent basis.
- Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day.
- Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis.
- Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
- Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
