Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support a construction company in Roseville, California. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a dependable team member who can help maintain accurate payroll operations in a part-time, onsite schedule of approximately 25 hours per week across three full days. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel skills, a practical understanding of payroll processes, and the ability to resolve pay-related issues with accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities: • Process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees while following established procedures and deadlines. • Review timecards, collect missing entries, and verify hours worked to support complete and accurate payroll records. • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies, ensuring employee pay issues are resolved promptly. • Prepare and analyze payroll-related reports using Excel to track data, identify variances, and support recordkeeping needs. • Assist with full-cycle payroll activities, including deductions and garnishment-related updates when applicable. • Provide additional payroll support during a payroll implementation project to help maintain continuity of operations. • Coordinate with internal team members to gather payroll information and ensure documentation is complete and up to date. • Experience supporting payroll administration, including full-cycle payroll processing. • Ability to work with payroll volumes ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees. • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, review, and report on payroll data. • Experience identifying and resolving payroll errors or inconsistencies with a high level of accuracy. • Familiarity with payroll deductions and garnishment processing. • Availability to work onsite in Roseville, California for three full days per week in a 25-hour part-time schedule. • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
