Responsibilities

  • Reconciling operating and store accounts
  • Maintaining personnel files
  • Maintaining the I-9 file
  • Entering new hires, rate changes, and other information into the Paychex system
  • Receiving and computing time cards for employees
  • Maintaining employee attendance cards
  • Auditing eligibility and payment of paid absences
  • Completing the payroll process
  • Preparing manual checks as necessary
  • Acting as custodian for the secondary petty cash fund
  • Handling employee benefits
  • Maintaining health and life insurance program information
  • Reviewing records to ensure deductions are accurate
  • Processing insurance claim forms (disability, workers' compensation, etc)
  • Completing quarterly pension remittance forms

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
