Responsibilities
- Reconciling operating and store accounts
- Maintaining personnel files
- Maintaining the I-9 file
- Entering new hires, rate changes, and other information into the Paychex system
- Receiving and computing time cards for employees
- Maintaining employee attendance cards
- Auditing eligibility and payment of paid absences
- Completing the payroll process
- Preparing manual checks as necessary
- Acting as custodian for the secondary petty cash fund
- Handling employee benefits
- Maintaining health and life insurance program information
- Reviewing records to ensure deductions are accurate
- Processing insurance claim forms (disability, workers' compensation, etc)
- Completing quarterly pension remittance forms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related work experience
- Detail-oriented
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
