Payroll Clerk

Job Summary

Open and distribute internal and external incoming mail, UPS and Federal Express packages on a daily basis
Prepare and send emails/letters to service centers
Assist with Wage Attachment tracking, scanning and submitting information to various attorneys
Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all department matters
Prepare terminated files for department processing including tracking, prep and scan files
Locate and retrieve company records as requested
Follow guidelines for retention policy for all payroll records
File all personnel and confidential payroll documentation into personnel files
Print and seal all payroll checks and receipts per payroll cycle
Assist with sorting and mailing of payroll receipts and checks each week
Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
• Filing and customer service experience
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality, possible overtime
• Able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
• Able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
• Able to interact well with others
• Able to work independently, or in a team setting
• Able to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
