About the role

Physical Electronics USA is seeking a detail-oriented and improvement-focused Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Administrator to join our Human Resources team. This role combines accurate payroll and benefits administration with HRIS ownership, reporting, data integrity, and process improvement. You will work closely with the HR Manager and serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, benefit providers, and internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly and special payrolls, including employee changes, deductions, bonuses, garnishments, PTO, and adjustments.
  • Complete payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, recordkeeping, and quarterly and year-end support, including W-2 issue resolution.
  • Administer benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, eligibility, employee questions, monthly invoice reconciliation, and annual open enrollment.
  • Maintain ADP Workforce Now as the company's official HR system of record and process new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and other employee updates.
  • Audit payroll, benefit, PTO, and employee data; maintain workflows, reporting fields, self-service tools, and appropriate system access.
  • Monitor ADP enhancements and recommend ways to improve onboarding, reporting, employee communication, compliance tracking, and HR workflows.
  • Build recurring HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, hiring, benefits, PTO, training, onboarding, and compliance.
  • Review data for errors, trends, and concerns and prepare accurate information for the HR Manager and executive leadership.
  • Document, simplify, standardize, and automate recurring HR processes to reduce errors, manual work, delays, and inconsistent follow-up.
  • Support job postings, interview scheduling, candidate records, onboarding, ADP setup, required forms, orientation activities, and 90-day follow-up.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of payroll, benefits, HRIS, or HR operations experience.
  • Experience independently processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
  • Hands-on HRIS or payroll-system experience; ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with payroll, benefit, or employee-data audits and reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
  • Comfort working with reports, spreadsheets, HR data, recurring deadlines, and problem resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and a service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managers.
  • Interest in improving systems, workflows, documentation, and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll.
  • Experience building reports or dashboards in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Knowledge of payroll practices, benefit administration, employment records, and HR compliance requirements.

Pay

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be determined based on the selected candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
