About the Opportunity

The Payroll Associate is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple regions. This role supports payroll compliance, reporting, and reconciliation activities, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the organization. The position plays a key role in maintaining payroll integrity and responding to employee inquiries, helping to uphold accurate compensation processes that support overall workforce satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S., Canadian, and international employees in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Review and verify timesheets, earnings, and deductions.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
  • Cook up with HR on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations related to benefits.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Aid with payroll projects including year-end reporting and system upgrades.
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Identify and explain variances in payroll accounts.
  • Update payroll policies and process documentation.
  • Generate payroll reports to support finance, tax filings, and audits.
  • Lead year-end payroll activities, including preparation and distribution of tax forms.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or a minimum of 2 years payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience with UKG or similar payroll systems.
  • Experience processing payroll across multiple states, Canada, or internationally.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and communicate effectively across departments.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 plus bonus and benefits.
