Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for facility employees
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
  • Review timecards, resolve payroll discrepancies, and audit payroll reports
  • Cook up new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee paperwork
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation
  • Aid with benefits administration and employee leave documentation
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and HR-related questions
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives
  • Help resolve employee concerns professionally while maintaining confidentiality
  • Demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills and work collaboratively with department leaders to address workplace concerns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Aid with HR reporting, audits, and regulatory documentation
  • Partner with department managers to support staffing, hiring, and employee development
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll system accuracy
  • Perform additional administrative and HR duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, healthcare, or a related setting
  • Minimum 1 year of Payroll and/or Human Resources experience
  • Experience processing payroll and maintaining employee records
  • Working knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour regulations, and employment laws
  • Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems preferred
  • Strong conflict resolution, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Able to communicate professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance
  • Experience assisting with audits, payroll reporting, and regulatory documentation
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
