Job Details

We are currently seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our union and non-union workforce in a shared services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage payroll operations for the US and Canada, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll department, with a strong focus on union environments and prevailing wage compliance.
  • Working knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP Software.
  • Strong analytical ability to understand and interpret payroll data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
