Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, input, balance payroll data for bi-weekly payroll
  • Review all payroll data for accuracy before sending to Payroll Accounting Manager for final review
  • Timely processing of employee changes and terminations
  • Manage new hire job requisitions and onboarding forms
  • Process payroll changes
  • Ensure Compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Process special payroll requests, payroll corrections and lost or missing payroll checks
  • Management of Dayforce systems and efficiencies
  • Work closely with Ceridian Support to ensure system is working properly and identified issues are remedied within a reasonable time frame
  • Assess current system capabilities to ensure they are being fully utilized
  • Periodically review payroll information published for Community staff use to verify accuracy of the processes listed
  • Manage Creditor Garnishments, State/Federal Levies, Student Loan Garnishments and Child Support Orders
  • Answer Employee questions about Pay and PTO

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of multi-state payroll experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll regulations, wage/tax law, and required record keeping/administration
  • Experience with internet-based payroll system (Ceridian Dayforce highly preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidentiality
