The Payroll Administrator will oversee and facilitate payroll functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while working directly with department leaders to manage timecard submissions and approvals.
Wyld THC operates in AZ, CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MI, MO, NM, NV, NY, OR, OK, WA, and across Canada, with more launches on the horizon. Our CBD line is available nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Gather time records from employees and calculate hours worked and pay received accurately.
- Ensure time records are accurate and resolve inconsistencies or errors.
- Process payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Provide records and documentation to accountants for accurate payment of compensation and reimbursements.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems for timely and accurate payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Audit benefit plans for accuracy and update as necessary.
- Identify and recommend updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
- Work directly with teams to implement new systems.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience/training within an accounting function, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 1 year of public accounting experience preferred.
- Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong accounting background with mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong quantitative and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact effectively across all levels of management.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analysis, Google Apps, and QuickBooks.
- Advanced mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, per state regulations.
- Must pass a background check and obtain all state-required permits, licenses, and certifications.
- Travel between sites will be required.
