About the role
Process union and non-union payroll for 80+ employees on a bi-weekly basis. Handle high-volume payroll, maintain payroll records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, calculate and deduct tax withholdings, benefits, and garnishments, reconcile discrepancies, investigate errors, review and approve timecards, manage contracts, process salary adjustments, assist with time-off, and prepare financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process employee payroll data
- Provide administrative support
- Coordinate with Human Resources as needed
- Assist with payroll audit
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Enter new clients in payroll system
- Correspond with clients on payroll process improvements
- Prepare periodic payroll reports
Requirements
- 2+ years of union and non-union payroll experience
- Foundation software experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
