About the role
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for an individual who can manage payroll and benefits administration with precision while maintaining compliance across multiple states. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring employees are paid correctly, records are well maintained, and payroll processes run smoothly from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees, ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are consistently met.
- Administer multi-state payroll activities in accordance with applicable wage, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax information.
- Process payroll transactions in ADP Workforce Now and resolve discrepancies through careful review and follow-up.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support benefits-related payroll changes such as enrollments, deductions, and status updates.
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare reports, and assist with audits to confirm compliance and financial accuracy.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and payroll-related policies in a timely and courteous manner.
- Contribute to payroll process improvements and support operational changes, including system-related updates, when needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience managing full-cycle payroll in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Proven ability to process payroll for employee populations ranging from 101 to 500 staff members.
- Hands-on experience administering payroll across multiple states with strong knowledge of related compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and confidence using payroll systems for day-to-day administration.
- Solid understanding of payroll procedures, tax withholdings, deductions, and benefit-related payroll coordination.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and discretion when handling sensitive employee and compensation information.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to address payroll issues effectively.
