We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team, responsible for processing payroll for up to 1,200 employees across multiple pay groups while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll for up to 1,200 employees.
  • Maintain and manage employee payroll records within ADP Workforce Now or related ADP platforms.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, including wages, deductions, taxes, garnishments, benefits, and timekeeping information.
  • Audit payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, pay rate adjustments, and bonuses.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Process wage garnishments, child support orders, and other involuntary deductions.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll reporting.
  • Support payroll audits and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.
  • Analyze large data sets using Excel and develop reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a payroll function with a corporation having a payroll size greater than 1,200 employees, including multi-state payroll.
  • Extensive knowledge of ADP or another payroll software tool.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, state unemployment insurance (SUI), and reciprocity agreements between states.
  • Proficient at MS Office, with advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
  • Exceptional accuracy in data entry and calculations to avoid costly errors and compliance issues.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and issues across different state regulations.

Skills

  • Experience with payroll accounting and data entry.
  • Ability to contribute to team efforts and accomplish related tasks as needed.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.

Schedule

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Creek, WI, and is fully onsite.
