Responsibilities
- Supporting North America payrolls, including hourly and salaried employees across various departments.
- Processing payroll, supporting timekeeping, maintaining payroll records, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Providing audit assistance and data analysis within the finance organization.
- Reviewing and exporting time data for payroll processing.
- Calculating and processing payroll wages and salaries using trusted systems and processes.
- Issuing payroll wages using banking and payroll software, balancing, and confirming as needed.
- Collaborating with Human Resources to maintain accurate employee data.
- Supporting the balancing of payroll accounts by providing reporting, auditing information, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
- Processing wage assignments and garnishments, working with vendors to ensure fund transmission.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education, including HCM vendor training.
- Contributing to organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value, and supporting team members with questions, forms, and updates.
- Achieving compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in payroll or a relevant field in finance or HR required.
- Excellent computer skills: experience in payroll software, UKG, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred; additional system knowledge a plus.
- Understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices.
- Precise attention to detail and excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively across multiple organizations and businesses.
- Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
