Responsibilities

  • Supporting North America payrolls, including hourly and salaried employees across various departments.
  • Processing payroll, supporting timekeeping, maintaining payroll records, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Providing audit assistance and data analysis within the finance organization.
  • Reviewing and exporting time data for payroll processing.
  • Calculating and processing payroll wages and salaries using trusted systems and processes.
  • Issuing payroll wages using banking and payroll software, balancing, and confirming as needed.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources to maintain accurate employee data.
  • Supporting the balancing of payroll accounts by providing reporting, auditing information, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Processing wage assignments and garnishments, working with vendors to ensure fund transmission.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education, including HCM vendor training.
  • Contributing to organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value, and supporting team members with questions, forms, and updates.
  • Achieving compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in payroll or a relevant field in finance or HR required.
  • Excellent computer skills: experience in payroll software, UKG, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred; additional system knowledge a plus.
  • Understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices.
  • Precise attention to detail and excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively across multiple organizations and businesses.
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
