Key Responsibilities

  • Reviews the weekly payroll and all associated data and records.
  • This includes reviewing paycheck calculations, review of the quarterly payroll returns, and annual review of employee Form W-2s and payroll tax return summaries.
  • Reviews post-processing payroll reports.
  • Provides all required payroll reports to Assistant Controller or Corporate Controller after each weekly payroll.
  • Verifies payroll tax deposits.
  • Creates ad-hoc payroll reports as required.
  • Responds to routine employee inquiries concerning payroll deductions, self-service and accruals, wage garnishments, etc.
  • Audits all employee insurance program including group medical, dental and vision programs, group life and long-term disability programs.
  • Maintains personnel and payroll database, including posting PTO accruals (including reconciliations between ERP and Payroll Systems).
  • Assists with 401(k) reporting and compliance, including annual nondiscrimination testing and other plan sponsor requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an A.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a similar degree program.
  • 5-20 years of applicable payroll processing or administration experience is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently identify and bring forward issues.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay & Benefits

Estimated Pay Range: $30-37/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
