About the role
Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialists are responsible for managing employee payroll and processing vendor payments.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees including calculating wages, taxes, and benefits.
- Prepare and submit payment requests to vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to payroll and accounts payable.
- Handle inquiries from employees and vendors regarding payroll and payment processes.
- Generate and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll or accounts payable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Gusto.
- Understanding of tax codes and regulations.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
