Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees is preferred.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Process and prepare bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the payroll cycle.
- Administer payroll-related functions, including garnishments, ACA tracking, and check processing.
- Maintain payroll documentation and perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Review payroll reports and deductions to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Aid with month-end close activities and payroll-related accounting processes.
- Support the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings, including W-2 forms.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger.
- Other duties as assigned.
