Position Description
The Accountant is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and recording financial records. Key responsibilities include preparing, analyzing, and implementing payroll transactions, monitoring taxes and deductions, and coordinating with payroll service providers. The ideal candidate must be well-organized, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and have basic accounting knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications
- Business or Accounting degree
- 2+ years of applicable experience
- College Courses in accounting
- SAP experience
Essential Duties
- Payroll:
- Prepares, analyzes, and implements payroll transactions
- Prepares and/or analyzes periodic payroll reports, payroll schedules, and payroll related journal entries
- Maintains payroll related journal entries and performs account reconciliation and analysis
- Evaluates and implements appropriate payroll policies and controls
- Supports other accounting functions such as A/P, A/R, etc.
- Reviews project time to ensure accurate posting to projects
- Reconciles cost data between project cost ledgers and accounting systems
- Develops, manages, and maintains cost controls and labor recaps in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent
- Billings and Accounts Payable:
- Reviews all invoices, employee expense statements, and subcontracts for appropriate documentation and approval
- Processes and balances owner billings
- Responds to vendor and jobsite inquiries
- Reconciles vendor statements and researches and corrects discrepancies
- Aids in month-end closing
- Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
- Assists with other projects as needed
Compensation Range (Colorado Only)
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
