Payroll Accountant Analyst

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop recreation, educational enrichment, child care, elder care, special events, or other community service activities and programs.
• Select a variety of activities appropriate for children, adolescents, and adults.
• Maintain positive and supportive relationships with customers.
• Review program plans with Program Leaders and instruct them in program implementation.
• Participate in and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, events, and programs.
• Instruct children, adolescents, and adults in various activities, events, and programs.
• Select and arrange field trips, special events, and guest speakers.
• Absorb and assist with evaluating assigned staff.
• Arrange for the purchase of materials and supplies; monitor supplies; and participate in cleaning and maintaining the facility, supplies, and equipment.
• Inspect site and equipment for potential safety hazards and take corrective action to prevent injuries.
• Serve as Program Coordinator in his/her absence.
• Maintain records and develop monthly status reports.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED completion is required.
• A total of fifteen (15) semester or equivalent quarter units from an accredited or approved college or university as follows:
  • Three (3) units in administration or staff relations.
  • Twelve (12) units shall include courses that cover the general areas of child growth and development, or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; and program/curriculum.
• At least 4 years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program is required.
• A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing; OR
• A Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
