General Summary

Intermountain Slurry Seal Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Granite Construction, has been serving the Pavement Preservation industry since 1978. With over 40 years of experience, Intermountain provides a wide array of services and solutions that meet all residential street, highway, and commercial customer Pavement Preservation needs. This role does require travel with the team to various job sites.

Supervise functional construction effort

  • Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise and manage resources in order to make sure project objectives are met.
  • Supervise craft employees to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met.
  • Aid project team in scheduling, developing, and implementing project Work Plans and procedures, working documents and standards to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Resolve problems, ensure quality, safety, scheduling and achieve schedules in support of overall project objectives.

Comprehend and administer a safety program

  • Provide a safe work environment that meets or exceeds the Company Annual Incident Goal.
  • Foster a culture that expects participation at all levels.

Determine and promote quality culture

  • Recognize the effect of quality on all operations.
  • Take steps necessary to provide a product or service that is a source of pride for our workers, and pleasing to our customers.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talk and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements

  • Team player.
  • Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct on a daily basis.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
