Paving, Sealcoat & Slurry Seal CDL Operators/Laborers

About the role

Pavement Preservation Group is seeking experienced Paving, Sealcoat & Slurry CDL Operators/Laborers. This position offers a competitive compensation range of $20-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with DOT standards
• Process required paperwork and report any issues to supervisors
• Be prompt and cooperative with co-workers and management
• Unload materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operate dump trucks, slurry trucks, nurse trucks, service trucks, and seal coat trucks
• Follow dispatcher’s instructions for daily tasks and job site requirements
• Work out of town and overtime, including weekends, as needed
• Operate latest model equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Valid state CDL Class A driver’s license with Medical DOT card with no active violations within the past three years
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience and tanker/HAZMAT endorsements for tankers, or minimum 2 years of driving experience for other CDL positions
• Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, extreme weather conditions, and loud noise
• Specific vision abilities, including the ability to actively talk, hear, and stay physically active throughout the day
• Able to lift and move items up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Able to travel 50% of the time

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience operating various types of asphalt-related equipment
• Knowledge of asphalt pavement maintenance techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
