Patient Transporter/Driver - PRN/Per Diem

About the Role

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility provides specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults, and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and co-occurring addictions.

Responsibilities

• Drive patients to and from programs and various appointments safely and punctually.
• Conduct basic automotive maintenance, including fueling vehicles, checking and maintaining routine fluid levels, and maintaining proper tire inflation.
• Assist with patient activities in between transportation.
• Transport meals from a nearby external facility.
• Support other facility areas as assigned.

This is a PRN/Per Diem position with Saturday availability. Potential to become full-time with future growth.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing assistance or a related field.
• Minimum Experience: Passenger transportation experience.
• Preferred Experience: Experience working in behavioral health or in a hospital environment.
• Required Certification/License: Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clear 39-month driving report.
• Preferred Certification/License: Completion of EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Security Training program, or equivalent. Food Handler's card.
