Responsibilities

• Receives and transports patients in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination.
• Documents request for services in order to provide an accurate and timely tracking system.
• Maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition, as well as proper working order (i.e., oiling wheels of such equipment).
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Required- High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum Experience: Required-None
• Preferred- Patient transportation or customer service experience
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Ability to transport patients from one area of the hospital to another as needed; Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment to include cleaning as applicable; Has effective interpersonal and communication skills
