Patient Transporter - 156620

Description & Requirements

The Patient Transporter at St. Luke’s is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the facilities. Key duties include:

• Transports patients to and from inpatient units, surgery, therapy, radiology and other areas.
• Aids patients into/out of bed, transports equipment, uses assistive devices, and more to meet patient needs.
• Retrieves medical records, laboratory specimens, supplies, and medications as required.
• Maintains and cleans transport equipment.
• Complies with personal protective equipment requirements and adheres to health and safety standards.
• Solves routine questions, issues, and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
• May assist with dispatch coverage and participate in interview, training, and onboarding processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• No licenses or certifications required.
