Description & Requirements
The Patient Transporter at St. Luke’s is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the facilities. Key duties include:
- Transports patients to and from inpatient units, surgery, therapy, radiology and other areas.
- Aids patients into/out of bed, transports equipment, uses assistive devices, and more to meet patient needs.
- Retrieves medical records, laboratory specimens, supplies, and medications as required.
- Maintains and cleans transport equipment.
- Complies with personal protective equipment requirements and adheres to health and safety standards.
- Solves routine questions, issues, and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- May assist with dispatch coverage and participate in interview, training, and onboarding processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- No licenses or certifications required.
