Position Highlights
Position: Patient Transport
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Per Diem/Resource Hours: 10:30p- 3am with rotating weekends and holiday schedules
What You Will Do
Reporting to Director of Patient Transport, is responsible for the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital including admission and discharge transports, unit to diagnostic testing department transports and return trips. May be required to transport equipment and supplies necessary to support the mission of the department and/or the hospital.
What You Will Need
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certification: CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) within 3 months of hire
- AED training within 3 months of hire

- The interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact in a positive manner with patients, their families, nursing staff and physicians.
- The verbal and written English skills necessary to clearly and effectively communicate information.
- The organizational skills necessary to prioritize and complete transport tasks in a timely manner.
- Responds positively to changes and shows willingness to learn new ways to accomplish tasks in an efficient manner.
- The ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients.

Hourly Pay Range $17.86 - $25.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
