Patient Svc Representative - Endocrinology (Part Time, PRN)
About the role
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations and workflows
- Interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Communicate effectively and professionally using strong verbal and written communication skills
- Use basic computer skills for data entry and word processing
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
- Show empathy, patience, and tact when handling inquiries and concerns
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail, especially when entering patient information, scheduling appointments, and processing documentation
- Ensure confidentiality and follow privacy policies/procedures
- Work adaptively and under pressure, handling unexpected situations professionally and calmly
- Complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training post-hire
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills (data entry, word processing)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidentiality and adherence to privacy policy/procedure
- Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Standing and walking during each shift
- Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Qualifications
- One year of applicable medical office experience preferred
