Patient Support Center Representative
This position is remote in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones.

Responsibilities
- First point of contact for patients; sets the tone for a positive experience
- Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care
- Schedules appointments and procedures, following standard guidelines
- Uses multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phone
- Verifies patient information while documenting in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
- Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information
Schedule
- Full-time position: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours of 11:30 am - 8:00 pm PST
- May be necessary to work occasional overtime or weekends given business needs
- 4 weeks of paid training: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, Monday - Friday (conducted virtually from your home)
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent years of experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to work any full-time, 8-hour shift during business hours (11:30 am - 8:00 pm PST) from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a health care setting
- EMR experience
- Knowledge/understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
- Experience with providing customer service
Telecommuting Requirements
- Reside within the Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Zones
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service (wired connection required: cable, DSL, or fiber with minimum speed of 25 Mb download/10-15 Mb upload; wireless services such as satellite, hotspot, or line-of-sight antenna cannot be used)

Pay
The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment and is determined by several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
