Patient Support Assistant - Intermediate Unit
Job Description Summary
Aid licensed clinicians in providing direct and indirect patient care on assigned units. Perform and assist with activities of daily living, maintain room and unit cleanliness, and provide support to patients, visitors, and nursing personnel.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Perform and assist with activities of daily living (40%)
- Maintain environmental cleanliness and safety (40%)
- Assist in creating an ideal patient experience (40%)
- May serve as a patient safety champion (40%)
- May assist in telemetry cardiac monitoring (40%)
- May act as a transporter for the nursing unit (40%)
- Runs errands for patient care (40%)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED (minimum requirement)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (additional requirement)
Additional Job Description
High School Diploma/GED individuals aged 16-18, without a High School Diploma/GED, may be considered with an applicable work permit. Work shift is night, with weekly hours of 24.
