Patient Services Specialist - Providence Kodiak Island Counseling Center
About the role
The Patient Services Specialist position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hour Day shifts, 40 hours per week. The position includes a $1,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires who meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Responsibilities
- Collects demographic information to ensure accuracy for billing purposes by verifying patient information and benefit eligibility for insurance and third-party payers.
- Receives payments and issues receipts on patient accounts as appropriate.
- Oversees the operation of the Switch Board by answering all incoming calls, transfers, intercom and paging system.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience in admitting.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
