Patient Services Specialist - Primary Care

About the role

The Patient Services Specialist is the first point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and greeting patients or visitors in person
• Assisting patients with their needs and directing them to appropriate services
• Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Handling inquiries and concerns from patients or visitors
• Providing information about hospital policies and procedures
• Completing administrative tasks related to patient care

Requirements

• 1 year customer service experience, or Successful completion of Providence internship.
• Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
• Medical terminology experience.
• Rooming position: CNA, non-credentialed MA, EMT experience, or similar experience.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include 1 year customer service experience, or successful completion of Providence internship. Preferred qualifications include 1 year of medical office or health care experience, basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems, medical terminology experience, rooming position experience, and CNA, non-credentialed MA, EMT experience, or similar experience.

Skills

Skills required for this role include excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic computer skills are also necessary.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is part-time and works a day shift.
